As part of the events of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry, dedicated to the celebration of International Children’s Day, on May 28, 2025, a meeting of the institute’s scientists with schoolchildren of the city of Almaty was held at the Fesenkov Astrophysical Institute. The children were told what astronomy is and what scientists do at our institute, and were shown the sights of the Observatory on the Kamenskoye Plateau (historical telescopes and the Sikhote-Alin meteorite). Astronomy is the science of the future, and the future belongs to children.
