Chingis T. Omarov has been appointed as the president of the National Center of Space Research and Technology (NCSRT), JSC. Rashit R. Valiullin has been assigned as the acting director of Fesenkov Astrophysical Institute of NCSRT, JSC.

An international collaboration which includes Fesenkov Astrophysical Institute has reported in the journal Nature that optical rays and not just X-rays provide reliable observational data for black hole activity.

On December 29, at 11 am, in the Round Hall of the institute we will have the New Year party for children of the personnel. The administration of the institute wishes a happy New Year, luck and joy to all members of the staff!

The president of the Republic of Kazakhstan has signed an executive order for awarding 39 Kazakh researchers with the al-Farabi prize in science and technologies. Among the recipients of the prize there are members of Fesenkov Astrophysical Institute and of the National Center of Space Research and Technologies.

The KAZCOSMOS delegation headed by Talgat Musabayev, the chair of the Aerospace Committee of Kazakhstan, has visited Bali, Indonesia, and participated in the 22nd Session of the Asia-Pacific Regional Space Agency Forum (APRSAF-22), discussing the interactions in space activities.
