A Memorandum of Cooperation in Computational Astrophysics was signed between the Fesenkov Astrophysical Institute and the Institute of Astronomy and Information Science at Dali University (China). The document was signed during a visit to FAI by IAI Director Prof. Zhongmu Li, and on behalf of the Astrophysical Institute, signed by FAI Director Prof. Ch. T. Omarov. The main goal of the Memorandum is to establish a joint international laboratory, the “Dali-Almaty International Joint Laboratory for Astronomy and Supercomputing,” which other participants can join to conduct joint research and share computing resources.
