On the eve of the national holiday, the Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan, for significant achievements in the development of science, Omarov Chingis Tukenovich, director of the Fesenkov Astrophysical Institute, was awarded the Order of "Kurmet".

A cooperation agreement was signed between the Fesenokov Astrophysical Institute and the French company ArianeGroup for the study of near and deep space objects.

The FAI computing cluster received another significant update as part of grant and program-targeted funding. The cluster was supplemented with a new computing server, data storage systems and additional battery modules.

On June 9, our Institute was visited by the Minister of Digital Development, Innovations, and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Jaslan Kassenovich Madiev, on a working visit. During the visit, he listened to reports on the activities, development prospects, and problematic issues of the Astrophysical Institute; on the computing cluster of the Astrophysical Institute, its development prospects, and its interaction with the planned supercomputer of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations, and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan. During the discussion, some current issues in the implementation of the Institute's programs and possible solutions were voiced.

On May 29 at 11 a.m. in the Round Hall of the Institute there will be a seminar by Marina Viktorovna Ishchenko (MAO NASU, FAI) on the topic: “The Triune Model of the Dynamic Evolution of the Galactic Center on the Cosmological Time Scale”. The seminar will be held in off-line format. FAI researchers and specialists from other institutions working in this field are invited.
